Welcome to The Primrose Primary Centre

At the Primrose Primary Centre we aim to build a strong relationship between home and school where trust, understanding and support form the basis of a shared responsibility for preparing children to develop friendships and understanding of life in the community in which they live. We encourage parents to play a full part in their child's education and school life in general and to accept the opportunities for contact and discussion with staff, which makes the time spent at the Primrose Primary Centre enjoyable and rewarding. Our Aims

  • To educate and support our young people in order for them to return to mainstream education or an appropriate provision
  • To encourage our young people and support them in developing self-regulatory attitudes
  • To encourage pupils to recognise and develop their talents to believe in their potential for success
  • To form close working relationships with parents/carers and all professional agencies involved in the care and well being of each pupil
  • To keep all children safe under the Department for Education’s statutory guidance for schools ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education” 2016
  • To define, promote and embed SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social & Cultural Development) in all aspects of pupils learning experiences
  • To continually raise standards and measure the progress of vulnerable groups and impact of pupil premium on achievement and attainment
  • Ensure the ‘Management Committee’ plays a vital role in challenging and supporting Leaderships decisions in all areas of education, finance and ‘Safer-Recruitment’, whilst adhering to the Teachers standards Handbook, CPD and performance management
  • To promote excellence in sports and the quality of PE in school by carefully planning and measuring the impact of the ‘Sports Funding’.

Our school is committed to safeguarding children and promoting children’s welfare and expects all staff, management committee members, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment and maintain a vigilant and safe environment. It is our willingness to work in a safe manner and challenge inappropriate behaviour that underpins this commitment.
